J-192 Archives LGBTIQ+

Hier soir, j'ai participé à ma première réunion du comité de pilotage pour la réalisation d'un centre de des archives des mémoires LGBTIQ+. Plus de 50 personnes institutionnelles et associatives. Pour un projet qui soulève débats et passions.

Dans la courte histoire du mouvement LGBTIQ+, il y a plusieurs étapes : l'émancipation, la visibilité,  la non discrimination et l'égalité des droits (le mariage...) . Il y a encore à faire (PMA, GPA, réfugiés...) , mais l'étape suivante et l'histoire et les archives pour ne pas oublier d'où on vient et ce que nous avons vécu.

De nombreuses initiatives ont été prises en France et dans le monde en ce sens. La Ville de Lyon a ouvert son premier centre d'archives LGBT il y a 25 ans. Les archives nationales ou de Paris disposent de fonds d'archives depuis les années 90 (AIDES, Act Up, David & Jonathan..). Des particuliers ou des associations en recueillent aussi. En urgence, le Centre LGBT Paris île-de-France a ouvert récemment des boxes d'archives pour les associations (40 m3) financés par la Ville de Paris.

Il manque néanmoins un réseau de consultation, un véritable lieu dédié d'archivage et de valorisation. Depuis plusieurs années, la ville de Paris a proposé d'aider à la réalisation de ce projet. Elle pilote aujourd'hui à un haut niveau autour de trois adjoints de la Ville de Paris (Bruno Julliard, Hélène Bidard et Véronique Levieux), en associant l'Etat avec la DILCRAH et le Ministère de la Culture, mais aussi les archives et les associations LGBTIQ+.

L'idée serait de créer ce centre dans une mairie d'arrondissement de Paris centre (fusion des 4 premies arrondissements en 2020), de la faire gérer par une fédération d'associations ou un collectif d'associations et de créer un véritable réseau pour que ces fonds d'archives soient valorisées, servent aux chercheurs, permettent des expositions, etc.

Paris 2018 dont la mission se termine avec la livraison puis le bilan des Gay Games d'août est impatiente de trouver une solution permettant de conserver l'ensemble des archives de l'événement et milite pour une solution consensuelle, une gestion efficace et une belle vitrine.

Je pense que l'approche de la Ville est aujourd'hui proactive et en capacité à créer enfin un centre d'archives de référence en s'entourant des financements nécessaires, tout en s'assurant d'une transversalité et la mise en réseau des différentes archives existantes.

J'espère qu'avec les associations LGBTIQ+ principales et souvent partenaires, comme  Inter-LGBT, Centre LGBT, FSGL, SOS Homophobie, l’Autre Cercle, HomoBoulot, AJL, APGL, ADFH, Oui Oui Oui, les Oublié-e-s de la Mémoire, Mémorial de la Déportation Homosexuelle, Beit Haverim, David et Jonathan, ARCL, Fières, CLF, MAG-Jeunes, CAELIF, Glup, LGBT, Flag, ... nous ferons aboutir ce projet dans l'intérêt collectif et non particulier. Le débat avec les militants du nouveau collectif des archives LGBTIQ+ s'annonce sportif...

Espérons que la méthode choisie permette d'aboutir. A suivre...

Last night, I participated in my first meeting of the steering committee for the creation of a LGBTIQ+ archives center. More than 50 institutional and associative people. For a project that raises debates and passions.

In the short history of the LGBTIQ + movement, there are several stages: emancipation, visibility, non-discrimination and equal rights. There is still more to do, but the next step is about history and archives to remember where we come from and what we have experienced.

Many initiatives have been taken in France and around the world in this regard. The City of Lyon opened its first LGBT archives center 20 years ago. The national or Paris archives have archival holdings since the 90s. Individuals or associations also collect them. In emergency, the LGBT Center Paris Ile-de-France has recently opened archive boxes for associations.

It lacks however a network of consultation, a real place of archiving and valorization. For several years, the city of Paris has offered to help in the realization of this project. She currently leads at a high level around three deputies of the City of Paris (Bruno Julliard, Hélène Bidard and Véronique Levieux), by associating the State with the DILCRAH and the Ministry of Culture, but also the archives and the LGBTIQ + associations.

The idea would be to create this center in a borough hall of Paris center (merger of the 4 first districts in 2020), to have it managed by a federation of associations or a collective of associations and to create a real network for that these archives are valued, serve researchers, allow exhibitions, etc.

Paris 2018, whose mission ends with the delivery and assessment of the Gay Games in August is eager to find a solution to keep all the archives of the event and advocates for a consensual solution, effective management and a beautiful showcase.

I think that the approach of the City is today proactive and able to finally create a reference archive center by surrounding itself with the necessary funding, while ensuring a transversality and networking of different existing archives.

I hope that with LGBTIQ + main associations and often partners, such as Inter-LGBT, LGBT Center, FSGL, SOS Homophobia, l’Autre Cercle, HomoBoulot, AJL, APGL, ADFH, Oui Oui Oui, les Oublié-e-s de la Mémoire, Mémorial de la Déportation Homosexuelle, Beit Haverim, David et Jonathan, ARCL, Fières, CLF, MAG-Jeunes, CAELIF, Glup, LGBT, Flag, ... we will bring this project to fruition in the collective and not particular interest. The debate with the activists of the new collective of LGBTIQ + archives promises to be sporty ...
